I popped into Ridgway Confections in Seeley's Bay yesterday to pick up some of their Christmas goodies for you. Hot chocolate bombs, chocolate ginger folks, and shimmering chocolate Christmas trees. Bells aren't just for Christmas but there are more ringing at this time of year. These bells are handmade in the Kutch Desert in India. They're forged with simple hand tools, fired in a kiln then individually tuned until the bellmaker is satisfied that the tone is clear and true. That grand bell has a rich bass tone while the small ones tinkle sweetly. I love them! Come ring them and pick out your favourites.

I spent a couple of hours this week making this big fresh wreath with pine and spruce boughs from the yard here at Tipped. The ever-bothersome grapevine became useful as the hoop base. The pine cones were gathered by a friend. The sap gave them that glossy hard coating as they dried in their oven. Even the bow is handmade here.

As a mother, my first choice is always to spend fun time with my kids, playing games, eating together, and being outdoors if the weather is nice. When my kids were little, I also appreciated a little "me time", time to unwind and just be.
